Anthony Fisher

Anthony Fisher is the Managing Director of Global Strategy Limited which provides a wide range of strategic and communications advice to governments, institutions, large private conglomerates and high net worth individuals.

Prior to setting up Global Strategy, Anthony qualified as a barrister, was a tax partner at KPMG, and served as a senior consultant to Lord Bell, Chairman of the Bell Pottinger Group and Chime plc.

Anthony has advised many offshore and international financial centres on a wide range of strategic and technical issues. From 1997-99, he was seconded to the Government of Gibraltar as its first Finance Centre Development Director where he established the agency for promoting and facilitating the development of financial services and international business in Gibraltar. He also acted as consultant to the Government on a wide range of strategic, political, legal and tax issues, and advised technology companies basing themselves in Gibraltar.

He has been an advisor to the Maltese Government for over 15 and currently sits as a member of the implementation committee of the Malta Financial Services Authority responsible for overseeing changes to Malta’s financial regulatory system.

He founded and is a consultant to Interlaw, an international group of lawyers led by Sir Peter Graham, former First Parliamentary Counsel. Interlaw designs and drafts legislation for small countries around the world.

Anthony is involved with several foundations and not-for-profit organisations. He is President of the Brussels-based EU Ukraine Business Council, representing the interests of some of the largest private groups in Ukraine as well as international investors in Ukraine. He is a Director of the DF Foundation, a private UK charity that funds a Ukrainian studies programme at Cambridge University and is also a Director of the British Ukrainian Society, a not-for-profit organisation that promotes greater ties between Britain and Ukraine. He sits on the Management Board of The Special Relationship Campaign, a UK not-for-profit organisation that seeks to strengthen the relationship between Britain and the United States.
